Repeated letters in Wordle

A gray tile can mean “no more copies,” not always “this letter is absent.” The helper scores green tiles first, then assigns yellow tiles only while another copy remains.

Why this matters

If one copy is yellow and a second copy is gray in the same guess, the answer normally contains exactly one copy. Treating the gray tile as a global exclusion would remove the real answer.
