The word matches every clue and can solve now. It is the default choice once the board has useful information.
Explainable recommendations
How the best next guess is chosen
A useful next guess does more than match the clues. It should separate the answers that remain while still being a word a real player can use.

Practical beats obscure
The final recommendation balances information gain, the worst remaining group, word commonness, answer likelihood, and the selected game mode.
That balance prevents an obscure mathematical probe from winning by a tiny information margin when a familiar possible answer performs almost as well and could solve the puzzle immediately.
Read the strategy label first
The word may not be an answer. It is used when testing new letters reduces uncertainty more than another candidate guess.
Several answers share a pattern such as _IGHT. One probe tests multiple changing letters instead of guessing the family one by one.
With two turns left, the guess is selected so every feedback result leaves at most one candidate for the final turn.
With one turn left, the helper stops spending guesses on information and submits a word that matches every clue.
Why RAISE is the opening recommendation
The opening benchmark compared 450 strategic guesses against all 1,401 reviewed likely answers. RAISE ranked first for the practical objective and the minimax objective, leaving 34.58 candidates on average and 90 in its largest feedback group.
TRACE has slightly higher pure information at 5.952 bits, but its average and worst-case groups are larger. This is why the result card can distinguish the highest-information word from the recommended practical move.
